Make holes around your cup using the sewing needle and bamboo skewer. Remember to make a hole on the base of the cup as close to the middle as possible.
Thread your noisy charms onto the string. These could be brightly coloured beads, buttons and pasta shapes (you can paint them with paints to make them really stand out) onto the string. Remember to tie a knot at the end so that your beads don’t come off!
Thread your jangly yarns through the holes that you made on the cup. Secure string with a knot and some sticky tape. Also try adding in different papers like Rafia and Crepe as these will make a lovely noise in the wind.
Cut out the Raa Raa template and colour him in and cut out some leaf shapes to decorate your cup with. Stick these down using PVA glue.
Knot a piece of string at the bottom and thread through the hole at the base of the cup, your wind chime is now ready to go.
Hang your jingly jangly wind chime outside of your house like Raa Raa and watch it make music in the wind.
Spring is here and so is the wind. Wind chimes are a great make and do with your child. Together you can find different things in your house that make a noise and hang them from the base of the wind chime.
